Bailey Family – Boston, USA. ” Thank you for a wonderful, wonderful time provided by Gods hand in this breathtaking beauty, by the fantastic history of Great Britain and by your spirit of sharing your bounty with us. We loved every second and want to come back”. – July 27th – 3rd. 2013

Kathryn – Huddersfield.   “We are a well travelled family with wide experience of self-catering, and can honestly say this is the best house we have ever stayed in. Usually there is a fight for the best bedrooms/bathrooms, but there was no need at Kingfisher Cottage as all the bedrooms are lovely and all have their own en-suite, or nearby shower facitlities. The ground floor spacious bedroom, with wetroom on the same level, was a great bonus for my elderly mother in law.The house is furnished more like a home than a holiday let, and is extyremely well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The garden is lovely and we were lucky enough to have fabulous weather which allowed us to enjoy the outdoor space.

The owners, Diane and Dave, were very helpful on our arrival, and although they went on holiday during our stay, they left us with local contact details in case of any problems. (We didn’t have any!)

The location is great; the house looks out onto open fields, but is only a five minute walk to Winchcombe centre, which has a good variety of shops and places to eat.

All in all we had a wonderful week, and we would recommend this cottage to anyone”.

“We stayed at Kingfisher Cottage with our French relatives – three couples and a single man. We cannot state enough how superb the whole experience was – the house was modern, but tastefully and beautifully appointed. It was spacious enough with three large downstairs living areas to suit all of us and give us space to be together (e.g. for meals or discussions) when we felt like it, or separate (e.g. using computers with free wifi, watching TV in different areas, doing quiet activities). The hosts were helpful and discrete. A very good experience”.

“A beautifully maintained cottage, convenient for walking into Winchcombe. Plenty of space for family entertaining. Thoroughly recommended”.

“The perfect cottage, all bedrooms have a bathroom and just a short stroll to Winchcombe which is a lovely place! The owners live next door and were so helpful with local information. The cottage had everything you could want, right down to a box of plasters!

7 of us shared the property and all enjoyed the holiday very much. Location so close to Winchcombe was real bonus. Surrounding countryside beautiful. Outlook from the property wonderful. Very comfortable accommodation, would thoroughly recommend it”.

Swallows Rest

“Thank you for a fabulous stay! beautiful village, relaxing and a wonderful place for us all to spend time together!”

“We had a wonderful time. lovely cottage, excellent standard and facilities. Wonderful location. A very relaxing time – just what we wanted!”

Yvonne – Glasgow – October 2013 – “Swallows Rest is a superbly equipped and comfortable cottage, the standard of the kitchen equipment is second to none, and flat screen tv’s in every bedroom kept them amused even when we were indoors.  The owner has gone to great lengths to provide lots of information about the local area and she also stopped by on the second day to make sure we had everything we needed and to suggest some good outings for us. The cottage was in a hamlet just outside Broadway, both the hamlet and Broadway itself are the very epitome of ‘chocolate box’ cotswold villages, totally picturesque and unspoilt. We have already booked again for next year.
